How do the two magazines differ?
I think that although their magazines are aimed at women, they bother have completely different ways of advertising it. The 'Good Housekeeping' is clearly aimed at older mid 40's women. I know this because the women on the front 'Lorraine Kelly' is from a tv programme 'loose Women' which is aimed at older women. However 'marieclaire' has taken a more modern take, and is aiming to 18-35 years old. This magazine has used modern colour which are bland but make it stand out. But as the other one magazine the colours are feminine (pinks and purples), the colours still do stand out and also define that the magazine is meant to be read by women.
The puff/plugs on 'marieclaire' have numbers and are talking about 'wow factors toward fashion' .On the other hand, 'good house keeping magazine has puff/plugs talking about '20 new decorative ideas'.
This is the reason the two magazines are aimed at different women.
