Evaluation of spoof trailer

Evaluation
Individually write an evaluation of your piece, include:
·         The strengths and weaknesses of your project
The strengths while we were creating the film clips was that before hand we had seen a few crime dramas and spoofs to help us create or add good ideas to our Spoof crime drama. Also i think as another strength to this task, was my acting, i am not camera shy and i like to perform. I am quite good at editing but it took a while for me to get used to the program. As a group i think we worked really hard and well together. Because we worked so well together and listened this helped a lot with this topic. its made tasks that we found more boring, go quicker and tasks had been completed in the right amounted time needed.
The weaknesses while making the film clips was our timing. We didn't have a very good time table for when we had to film or be done with something! Also there was the smallest of idea changes which resulted into arguments because people felt disappointed that there idea may not have been heard. Although we all did individual video trailers, This made it hard for people to try help and understand their own story line. From this   i try working more as a collective team in the future and only do one editing object, so then we can put all editing skills, ideas and composing one would help individuals out.

·         What you edited and how you edited it (step by step)
  I edited my crime drama spoof trailer. I in-ported the clips from the camera to the computer, re-named the clips , so when imported i could identify the right clip. I then put them on the editing bar, edited the clips, added music, added titles, exported the trailer. For this task i used these tools;

-Razor Tool
-Cross Dissolve
-Titles
Because it was my first time using it properly, i stuck t the basics.
-The team work of your team throughout the process
We all edited are own trailer and we all helped each other with parts. I think as a group we got on really well, and as much as we could we tried to listen to peoples ideas! during the editing we all contributed in a way to help the others. Maybe if they didn't know what to do someone would take over and clean it up. I think that we were all really good at coming up with quite iron/funny titles to go into the trailer.

-Are you happy with your trailer?
Yes, i really love my trailer i think the length of it is really good. However i think i could have made the trailer more humerus because it a spoof program. Although i like my trailer looking back on it i agree that i could have edited it with more prepossession. I should have watched more trailers or in my opinion i should have watched more 'A touch of cloth' episodes to make my trailer seem, serious but humerous. i know that i took a lot of time on this trailer and i pleased with the out come. However next time i would take my time and makes sure that i have the right angles or clips and just overall pay more attention to the detail. I would also pay more attention to the task e.g crime/spoof.

Does it meet the target audience you planned it for?
Yes the trailer meets are target audience, are target audience is teenagers to adults! I think when we were filming the clips, everyone was thinking would adult and teenagers like this and find it funny. I know that this type of trailer would be more to the teenager audiences because my past research shows that teens like stupid humour. whereas our trailer is also aimed at adults,  which broadens our watching view. I think that adults would also understand and still have a laugh at our crime drama as much as adults like the now a days 'A touch of cloth'.
·
Do you think its an original idea?
Yes although we have taken advice from the crime dramas and spoofs 'a touch of cloth'. we still obviously had original ideas. There is also a lot of serious crime dramas, and also a lot of spoofs, but i feel our trailer had different humour.
·
How was it received by the class? Do you agree with their feedback?
all of the class enjoyed it however, some say the length of it was to long. I don't agree that it was to long maybe some of the clips that were shown we not cut in the right place which made it seem really long!
